Yes. The Radian Raptor 5.56 is designed as a direct drop-in replacement for any standard mil-spec AR-15 or M16 upper receiver. No gunsmithing or modification is required — simply remove your existing charging handle and install the Raptor in its place. It is not compatible with AR-10 / .308 platforms; Radian offers a separate large-frame version for those builds.
What makes the Raptor better than a standard charging handle?
Unlike a standard GI charging handle with a single small latch, the Raptor features oversized, bilateral latches on both sides of the handle.
