Yes. The Raptor Charging Handle is designed to be a direct drop-in replacement for any standard Mil-Spec AR-15 upper receiver. No modification or gunsmithing is required — simply remove your existing charging handle and install the Raptor in its place. It is specifically sized for the 5.56/.223 platform and is not designed for AR-10 or .308 caliber uppers, which require the larger Raptor-LT model.
What makes the Raptor better than a standard GI charging handle?
Unlike a standard GI charging handle with a single small latch on the left side, the Raptor features large, oversized ambidextrous paddles on both sides of the handle. This allows shooters to charge the weapon using a palm-blading motion, a two-finger pinch, or a single-hand thumb technique — all faster and more positive than a traditional latch. The 7075 aluminum construction also makes it significantly more durable than mil-surplus alternatives.
Will the oversized paddles interfere with my optic or scope mount?
