Frequently Asked Questions
Will these night sights fit all Sig Sauer P226 variants?
These Trijicon HD Night Sights are specifically engineered to fit the Sig Sauer P225, P226, P228, and P239 pistols. While many P226 variants share the same sight footprint, it's always a good idea to verify your specific model and generation before ordering. If you're unsure, contact Goodland Guns for fitment confirmation.
How long do Trijicon tritium night sights last?
Trijicon backs their tritium lamps with a 12-year warranty, though tritium has a half-life of approximately 12.3 years. This means your sights will remain usefully bright well beyond the warranty period — gradually dimming over time rather than failing suddenly. Most users find the sights remain effective for 15–20 years of real-world use.
What is the advantage of the orange front ring on the HD Night Sights?
The orange photoluminescent ring surrounding the front tritium lamp dramatically improves daytime target acquisition speed. In bright conditions where tritium alone can be hard to distinguish, the high-visibility orange ring draws your eye to the front sight instantly — a critical advantage in defensive or competitive shooting scenarios where split-second sight alignment makes all the difference.
