Frequently Asked Questions

Is the 10-round block on this magazine truly permanent?

Yes. DURAMAG uses a proprietary internal block secured with a rivet to permanently limit the magazine to 10 rounds. This is not a removable limiter — the blocking method is designed to be irreversible, making it fully compliant with California's fixed-capacity magazine laws when used with a featureless or fixed-magazine rifle configuration.

Will this magazine work with my .300 Blackout AR-15 build?

Yes. The DURAMAG SS™ is compatible with standard AR-15/M4 lower receivers and feeds reliably with 5.56 NATO, .223 Remington, and .300 Blackout ammunition. The advanced interior geometry and T-360™ coating ensure smooth, consistent feeding across all three calibers without modification.

Can I store this magazine loaded for long periods without damaging the spring?

Absolutely. One of the key advantages of the DURAMAG SS™ over polymer magazines is its ability to remain loaded for extended periods without spring fatigue, body swell, or deformation. The 410 stainless steel construction maintains its structural integrity under sustained load pressure, so your magazine is ready when you need it — no rotation schedule required.

Sturdy good magazine. Has an internal block with a rivet through the drain hole. Slip a Mag Pull on and you'll never notice it.

I love the mag. The steel is so much stronger. Better then aluminum. Very good product. I will be looking on your site more often.

I like the metal mags better than plastic 10/30 makes my AR-15 look the it's supposed now if we can get rid of the mag locks. Since it's unsafe to have to take the rife apart to just to load it. California needs to become a right to carry state like Arizona and stop screwing us over with our 1st and 2nd amendment rights
