Who This Is For

This magazine is purpose-built for California residents and shooters in other restricted states who want a premium, durable AR-15 magazine that meets legal capacity limits without sacrificing the ergonomics of a standard-profile body. It's an ideal choice for competitive shooters, home defenders, and range enthusiasts running AR-15 or M4-pattern rifles chambered in 5.56 NATO or .223 Remington who refuse to compromise on build quality.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the 10-round block permanent, and can it be removed?

Yes. ASC uses a proprietary block-and-rivet system specifically designed for permanence. The block cannot be removed without destroying the magazine, making it compliant with California's fixed-capacity magazine laws. This is not a removable limiter — it is a permanent alteration to the magazine's internal capacity.

Will this magazine work with my AR-15 or M4-pattern rifle?

Absolutely. This magazine is built to USGI specifications and is compatible with any standard AR-15, M4, or M16-pattern rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO or .223 Remington. It feeds from a standard STANAG-compatible magazine well and functions with mil-spec lower receivers from virtually all major manufacturers.

Why choose a stainless steel magazine over a standard aluminum or polymer mag?

ASC's 410 stainless steel construction offers superior resistance to temperature extremes — it won't swell in summer heat or become brittle in freezing conditions the way some polymer magazines can. Compared to aluminum GI-style mags, stainless steel resists denting and corrosion more effectively, translating to longer service life and more consistent feeding even under hard use conditions.

    10/20 Mags

Posted by Travis Gallaher on Aug 29th 2025

Ordered these as recommended by fellow enthusiasts. Did a Juggernaut kit on an AR and had issues with the bolt getting hung up on the Magpul round carrier. These worked great and now the bolt goes home and the upper is able to "crack" to let the mag release.
