What is the difference between a mil-spec and commercial buffer tube?
Mil-spec buffer tubes have a slightly smaller outer diameter (approximately 1.148") and a straight profile, while commercial buffer tubes are slightly larger (approximately 1.168") and feature a angled rear end. Because the tube diameter determines buttstock fit, mil-spec and commercial stocks are not interchangeable. This LBE kit uses a mil-spec tube, which is generally considered the higher standard and is compatible with the widest range of aftermarket AR-15 buttstocks.
Do I need any special tools to install this complete stock kit?
