Will this sight fit my full-size Kimber 1911 Custom or Pro model?
Yes — as long as your Kimber 1911 has the standard .330" x .075" x 60° dovetail cut, this sight will fit. This includes most full-size and Commander-length Kimber 1911 variants. It does not fit the Kimber Micro series or any .22 caliber conversion kit, which use different dovetail dimensions.
How do I swap out the LitePipes, and do I need special tools?
Changing LitePipes on HiViz LiteWave sights is designed to be quick and tool-free. Simply push out the existing LitePipe and press in your preferred color. The included red, green, and white pipes allow you to match your sight color to the lighting conditions — green or red for low light, white for bright outdoor environments.
Does this replace both the front and rear sight, or just the front?
This is a front sight only replacement. It is designed to work alongside your existing Kimber rear sight. If you want a fully matched fiber optic sight system, HiViz offers rear sight options separately that pair well with this front sight for a consistent sight picture front to back.
