Yes. The 10-round block is installed using a proprietary block and rivet designed for permanence. This modification is intended to meet the legal requirements of California and other capacity-restricted states and is not reversible through normal means. Attempting to remove or alter the block may be illegal in your jurisdiction.
Why is the base pad not attached to the magazine?
To properly install the permanent block and rivet, the base pad must be removed. Running a rivet through the base pad would damage it, so Goodland Guns removes it during the blocking process and includes it separately in the package. The magazine functions normally without the base pad attached.
Will this magazine work with other .308 WIN or 7.62 NATO rifles besides the SCAR 17S and 20S?
