Need a 7.62×39 AR magazine that performs flawlessly? Our engineers have made crucial discoveries and technological advancements that solved the challenge of reliable feeding of Soviet cartridges in AR platforms. Make the switch to DURAMAG and shoot worry free with every pull of the trigger.
The 7.62×39 DURAMAG SS™ magazines are the ultimate choice for running this caliber in any AR15 style firearm. Feeding tapered cases like the 7.62x39mm into the straight magazine well of the AR platform has never been easy. Until DURAMAG™, many thought the combination was simply not possible to produce reliably. Thanks to extensive quality control built into their designs, every magazine is sure to run flawlessly. With DURAMAG SS™, now you can finally enjoy the close-in power of 7.62x39mm reliably in your AR platform.
Plastic works fine for toys and casual use, but has proven molecularly unstable in extreme environments, vulnerable to changes in humidity, and unable to retain shape during extended use. DURAMAG is the one magazine design that you can rely on during a sunny day at the range, frozen night on the tundra, in the sands of the desert, or pulling from long-term storage. Relentless reliability because a firearm is only as good as its magazine.

First experience with 7.62x39 ar mags
Just for reference, I bought these to use in a heavily modified AKM that uses AR mags to provide a functional AR bolt hold open. I bought two of these magazines for testing purposes, and after 500 rounds each I’m very pleased with these. These fit and function excellent, and feed reliably with nearly everything, from Wolf steel case to Norma brass. The only failures I had with these magazines were from Sterling steel case ammunition, however I don’t believe these problems came from the magazine as I had similar problems feeding from various ak magazines into both a wasr and a cmmg mutant. Moving on, the 10th round is extremely tight in the magazine. This is fantastic for ban states, where you want a normal looking magazine but you are required to have a limit. My only problem is impossible to insert a magazine on a closed bolt, which isn’t a very big concern. I will be purchasing more in the future.
